April 15, 2019 - Size matters; it's a fact, particularly in federal contracting. Small businesses that qualify and are well positioned can take advantage of set-aside contracts, sub-contracting opportunities and other programs the government has defined (ie. Mentor-Protege). Companies must understand how, why and when the government "sets aside" these contracts and also if they truly are a "small business" particularly if affiliation rules come into play. Knowing the rules is integral to creating a strategic plan of attack to win federal contracts.
